## **Developing and tuning of racing engines**

Whether our clients are **private customers**, **car manufacturers** or **racing teams**, all of them can rely on individual service. From initial [concept development](/engine-development/concepts/) right through [production](/engine-development/assembly/), [testing and measurement](/testing-and-measurement/). Our **racing** activities include:

- adaptation of **engines** to new directives and requirements (depending on the racing class)
- maintenance of **engines** after the race,
- localisation of problems and their solution,
- small series pre-development and **prototype** development,
- endurance and performance tests, [turbocharger](/supercharging-systems/) development.

On request, we also offer **technical support** at national and international **car racing events**.

## **BTD car racing experience in turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines**

Since 1986, our engines have been used successfully in the following car **racing** classes:

- **GT1 – GT2 – GT3**
- **LMS (Le Mans Series)**
- **WRC**
- **Gr. A – Gr. N**

| 1989-1993 | Official tuner for **Toyota Belgium**. |

| 2002-2005 | Adaptation of car racing engines to specific guidelines of the **Australian racing championship for Toyota**. |
| 2002-2003 | Development and integration of a **Mercedes V12 Pagani Zonda** competition engine for the FIA-GT class. |
| 2003-2010 | Development, integration and continuous improvement of the racing version of the **Lamborghini Murcielago** engines, which were used successfully worldwide in the FIA-GT and LMS classes (till the end of 2011). |
| 2005-2011 | Development, integration and continuous improvement of the Lamborghini Gallardo engine successfully used worldwide in the FIA-GT3 classes. |
| since 2010 | Servicing of the **Audi R8 LMS customer engines**, successfully used worldwide in the FIA-GT3 classes. |
